Pro's Tip of the Month
Putting is one of those areas of the game that with some dedicated practice, will unquestionably yield better results. There are certain technical keys to putting, that if you can groove as you work on your game, will make you far deadlier on the greens. Here is a drill that Tiger Woods used a lot in his heyday.
Simply put two tees down just a fraction wider than the width of your putter. Start by making a few strokes without a ball, trying to get the putter to flow through the tees without touching them. Once you feel confident that you have mastered this, hit a few putts. This is a great way of improving the path of your stroke. As you get better, the face of your putter will be consistently square to your target line through impact and this is the key to holing more putts. Devote some time to these putting tips in practice - it will certainly pay off!

Hopefully by now you've all got yourself re-gripped as we start to enjoy those longer evenings out on the course. When Ben Hogan wrote "Good golf begins with a good grip," he was talking about where the hands go on the club. But he could just as well have been talking about the handle of the club itself.
Worn grips are one of those things that sneak up on you; and given they directly affect your control of the club, they can have a profound effect. It's not just that your hands are more likely to slip on a worn grip, especially in the rain; it's also that you'll sense this unconsciously, and start to grip the club tighter. That can get you into a whole host of nasty swing traits, usually involving loss of rhythm and power.
Like every other part of the game, grip technology has leapt forward. The latest grips we stock offer a range of textures, hand-specific patterns and moisture resistance. Regrip your clubs with us and we can guarantee you the best connection with the club possible. We can also ensure their thickness suits your hand size - a vital aspect of controlling the club, and one that needs an expert eye.
