Ladies Butlers Tray
This year's Brodie Cup was played in lovely sunshine on 9th June and had an entry field of 36 lady members. After an exciting competition with some excellent scores from Carole Crutchfield and Veronica Borer on 37 points. Jane Bywaters pipped everybody with a very impressive 38 points and was declared the winner. Well done to Viv Harrison who finished with 35 points but had an eagle three on the 15th.
Is this golf's toughest Major venue?
It doesn't seem that long ago since Danny Willett was pulling on a certain Green Jacket, but here we are again, it's Major time. What lies in store? Well, it's not going to be a birdie fest, that's for sure.
Put simply, Oakmont is a brute - as you can discover for yourself below. The U.S. Open this weekend is a must-watch, especially if you like to see players work extra hard for their pars. This type of golf isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it does make a change to seeing winning totals around the -15 mark, as is often the case.

2016 Festival of Golf - Saturday, 2 & Sunday, 3 July
The weekend includes competitions on both days for 7 day male members with active handicaps and have played 1 qualifier in the last 6 months. The sign up sheet is on the main noticeboard in the hallway. Please note there are 3 lists.
The 1st list is for both days, the 2nd is for Sunday only, and the 3rd is for the ladies stableford.
Can you please take care on which list you put your name on.
Cost for both days - £10.00
Sunday only - £5.00
Prizegiving will be held on the Sunday afternoon after all the competitions have finished.

- Would "book" a round by arranging the dates with Steven Cookson and collect a voucher
- Would sign in as "Reciprocal Arrangement" guests when they play (must take voucher)
- 5 and 7 day members only!
- Each member can play a maximum of 6 times per calendar year
