Hello golfers,

 

Congratulations to Eddie Parsonage and Sue rumble on winning the Carr Coffee Pot. They managed to wear down Alan Bott and Debbie Rose with their steady play Winning the match 6&4. 

The match was played with a friendly spirit and thanks to John Blackley who refereed.


 

We had an exchange day with Kings Hill 8th Sept which was enjoyed by all. They looked after us very nicely and I would like to thank Pauline for taking over the organisation of this event. They then played at Bletchingley 20th September and enjoyed the course and catering. 

22nd September was my Autumn Meeting. 39 ladies sat down for lunch and the winner of the Scratch Prize was Sue Rumble. The theme of the day was 'Light'. Thank you to all my helpers on the day and particularly John Blackley and Nick Drollas who kept the ladies organised and fed and watered in the half way hut.


 

Baldwin Catering 

Baldwin Catering will be moving on to pastures new from 1st December. The Directors and myself would like to place on record our thanks for all their hard work and commitment over the last 4 years and wish them every success in the future.

World's Biggest Coffee Morning

Friday 30th September from 10.30 am to 12 noon. The Lady Golfers at Bletchingley Golf Club are again hosting a coffee morning on the 30th September as part of Macmillan Cancer Support World's Biggest Coffee Morning. 

Everyone is invited - please come along and support the event by having a cup of coffee and a piece of delicious cake in return for a small donation. There is always a large raffle with numerous prizes to be won.

The latest statistic shows that one in three of us will get cancer and there are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. Macmillan raises money to support the patients, family and friends. Offers of cakes, raffle prizes or donations to Ann Pressey or Freda Millmore please.

Loveworks Charity Day 

This coming Thursday sees Loveworks.org host a charity golf event at our club. Loveworks' vision sees them rally community spirit through volunteering to support many projects which aid vulnerable groups of society with social needs concerns. 

The charity's work in the community helps to stop hunger, poverty and deprivation through provision of three food banks locally. Loveworks.org is also involved in projects which support the homeless, unemployed and older people who may find themselves socially isolated.

Loveworks would like to welcome our members to take part in their charity golf event on Thursday afternoon. Tickets are: £15 or £20 (with a donation) and include: 

o A chance to win a Lexus RX Hybrid for an extended long weekend break. (this will be awarded to the nearest the pin winner) 

o A buffet barbecue supper. (served from 6pm) 

o Raffle prizes including M&S vouchers, golf goodies, a food hamper and more.

Jemca Croydon will be here as sponsor for the afternoon and evening. They will be displaying three vehicles on site.
