Hello golfers,

 

Course Update 

The course winter projects will commence from the middle of November with our focus this year being on the competition tee on the 3rd hole and the ladies 15th tee. The irrigation on the putting green will also be reviewed. In the last fortnight, we have been pruning certain trees to improve visibility from both the mats ready for this winter and the grass tees for next year. This work is still an ongoing process with every hole being reviewed. All the heavy rough has now been cut and we have purposely left the less dense grass over the road to help maintain some definition through the winter. 

Going forward, the tees will now be hand cut to prevent any damage being caused by heavy machinery. The holes have taken a little more time than anticipated to close due to the lack of rainfall through September. Paul and his team have pencil tined the greens to help close the hollow tine holes and this has certainly helped. Winter rules will be in operation from Wednesday 26th October. The worm irritant chemical will be sprayed over the course at some point in mid-November once they start to surface.


 

Captain vs Vice Captain 

Congratulations to the Vice Captain's team who won by the narrowest of margins from the captains' team. It certainly went down to the wire with the last match deciding the eventual winners.

Flexible Members: 40 points plus £5.00 entry fee 
5 day Members|: £10.00 green fee which will be donated to the captain's charity plus £5.00 entry fee 
7 day Members: £5.00 entry fee 

Sunday lunch carvery will be available, please contact the restaurant to reserve your table. 

1 course carvery £10.00 
Main course and dessert £14.95 
3 course £17.95 

If you book a table of 6 or more adults, you will receive a free bottle of house wine. This offer is only available on ordering the 3-course option.
