Saturday Swindle

The Competition and Matches Committee have decided to change the start time for the Saturday Swindle from 8am to 9.14am. This new start time will commence from Saturday, 13 May. The committee felt that this will allow the Business Ladies to join in if they wish, and they also felt this would offer Kevin more support with people having breakfast before they went out. It also offers members with a non-playing spouse the opportunity to play without alienating their spouse with a very early start after a long working week.

Note For The Diary

The only Saturday that will not be available to tee off at 9.14 will be Saturday, 30 September. The start time revert back to an 8am start for that one week. 

Surrey 5's Match Update

Congratulations to the Surrey 5's A team of Tim Burke, Ian McGowan, Mike Everton, Mark Fuller and Peter Gray who won their first round match 3-2 away to Coombe Wood. The match was evenly poised at 2-2 but it looking like we would just fall short as last man out on the course Mark Fuller was one down with two to play, but just as a fat lady was starting to run through her scales Mark managed to turn things round and pinch the match one up. Many thanks to Coombe Wood G.C. for being much generous hosts, next up is a home tie in round two against either Banstead Downs or Croham Hurst.

Bank Holiday BBQ and Entertainment For All The Family

On Monday, 29 May there will be a special bank holiday event happening at Bletchingley Golf Club. There will be a bouncy castle for the children, also a BBQ will be available from 12 noon till 3pm. The cost of the day will be £15 per adult and £10 per child.

A deposit of £10 per head will be required prior to the day. The event is open to both members and non members.

Cross Country Golf Social - Friday, 12 May

The Cross-Country Golf fun social evening will be held again this year on Friday, 12 May. Please see the poster on the social notice board in the main hall way. You will find the signup sheet, food choices and payment slips. It's always an enjoyable evening and you play from some very interesting places.
