Captains' Drive-in

A great day was had by all last Sunday for the Captains Drive In day. Outgoing Captains - Pauline and Mark - putted out brilliantly on the 18th green. Then the new Captains - Viv and Dave - arrived at the first tee in a buggy festooned with ski’s, tennis racquet, rugby ball, flippers, baking equipment...it was brilliant.

A straight jacketed ‘Nigella’ and a scuba diver then teed off the first to much applause. The winning team in the Texas Scramble was Sue Rumble, Rob Perry, Phil Rhodes and Will Blake. Congratulations to John Donelan on winning the Culinary Experience Raffle with all proceeds going to Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid.

Men's Eclectic 2017

Congratulations to both Tim Burke and Jonathan Evans on their joint win with a gross 64 in the 2017 eclectic. Jonathan Evans also won the nett prize with a nett 53.

Course Update

Work has now commenced on the Men’s 18th yellow tee. As you will see by the pictures, we are raising the tee by around a foot. The reason for this is to improve the quality of soil below the turf and to retain moisture through the summer months. Improved irrigation will also be installed over the coming weeks.

Members Christmas Social Event - Putterella

On Saturday, 9th December, Pantomime comes to Bletchingley GC. See your golfing friends as you’ve never seen them before. There will be entertainment, mexican buffet, music and laughter. The cost is £16.00 per person and the sign-up sheet is now on the social noticeboard and a night not to be missed.
