Summer knockout Competition Fees

Please note that all Knockout Competition entry fees have now been deducted from each entrants members bar card.

Mayor's Cup

The final of the Winter Singles took place on Friday, 26 April between Tim Burke and Michael Harvie. The match was played in a very good spirit on a blustery day with only a little sprinkling of rain which certainly did not dampen the enthusiasm of the two competitors.

Tim being the current Club Champion showed why he holds that title as he stormed away on the front-nine leaving Michael a rather large uphill climb on the back-nine. Although Michael put up a good fight around Bletchingley’s version of ‘Amen Corner’, the deficit was just too great, and the match was over on the 14th with Tim winning 6&5.

Cross-Country Golf Social

Due to the amount of competitions and events, it has been decided to postpone the Cross-Country Golf. We are hoping that an alternative date can be found, and will let you know as soon as this has been confirmed.

Course news

Update

Following a very well supported course maintenance evening in April, we would like to keep the momentum going by pencilling in a second meeting which will be held on Thursday, 30 May.

Since the new ruling of allowing the flag to remain in the cup whilst putting, it has become very noticeable that golfers are either retrieving their ball from the hole by lifting the flag out or are using their putter to hook their ball out. These actions are causing damage to the holes and can I please request that you do not continue. Please retrieve your ball the good old-fashioned way by using your hands. Thank you.

As from Wednesday 1st May, Winter Rules will no longer be in operation.
