Pauline Bourne takes the 2019 Bletchingley Masters crown (should that be tiara?)

Closing out on reporting our Major summer events, Pauline Bourne overcame Terry Gay 5&4 in the final of the Masters (an invitational for our 12 handicappers and below).

Despite gradually wearing Terry down with some near faultless golf, the match was played in great spirit and from Terry’s perspective played mostly from in the trees.

Captain v Vice-Captain Annual Match

This Sunday, saw the annual event whereby the Captain & Vice-Captain pick their teams for the chance to win the Wilson Quaiche trophy.

After all the downpours, we were treated to a beautiful crisp and sunny day for the 48 competitors in the matchplay event. The VC beat the Captain’s pairing with the last putt on the 18th green and most of the matches were equally close.

After a nerve-racking wait for the last teams to come in with their results, and with the scores tied at all-square, the Captain and his team eventually triumphed and so hold onto the trophy for another year.

Adrian and Myles would like to thank all the players for their support and for a most enjoyable day.

Rain, rain go away

Spotlight | Callaway JAWS MD5 Wedges
