Kitchen refurbishments
Over the past few years, the team have worked hard to build back up the food income generated from functions such as weddings and parties and we are pleased with the progress being made. It is vital that the club does generate income from such events as this helps ensure that any franchisee in the kitchen can run a sustainable business model of their own and for the club itself, with all associated overheads and running costs continually rising, we also need to try and offset as much of those costs as we can which will only be achievable by continuing to ensure Kevin and his team can service everyone that wants to eat at the club both member and visitor alike. With the level of functions, sometimes more than one on any given day or time of the day and also trying to continue to service ad-hoc orders etc at the same time has proved very challenging at times for Kevin and the team with the current size and layout of the main kitchen space. Kevin’s wealth of experience and calm head under pressure has helped us through without any detrimental effect on the standard of food being served but it has got to the point where a few tweaks have to be made to the layout to help aid working efficiencies going forward and to help Kevin and his team to cope with the larger number of covers we can get from time to time. Between Kevin and Wiseville a plan is going ahead to utilise the dry store backing on to the kitchen which will predominantly become our new washroom area which will free up space in the main kitchen for another cooker plus a larger food prep area. Wiseville has committed a budget to complete the works necessary with works commencing on the 27th January and will hopefully be completed by the 3rd February. The kitchen will be closed from the 27th – 30th and limited catering up until the 3rd. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but hope you can appreciate this will help to provide a better service in the future for all.
