December Medal
Congratulations to Tim Burke who won Division 1 of the December Medal last weekend, shooting a very impressive nett 67 to win by 4 shots! There was then a battle for second as both Matt Charman and Michael Harvie shot a fantastic nett 71. However it was Matt who came out on top and finished second after winning on countback.
The scores for Division 2 were not quite as low. However congratulations goes to Ricky Betteridge who came first with a nett 75. Ricky was closely followed by Chris Young who shot a nett 76 to finish in second. Bob Besley then finished off the top three shooting a nett 78.

Countdown to Callaway's New Range!
A couple of weeks ago myself and Steve attended a meeting with a Callaway rep to discuss stocking their new range of products, Callaway is something that we haven't stocked for a while as we have felt there have been better products from other companies. However this year we were both very impressed
The new Callaway range, the Callaway XR, will be launched in February 2015 and will replace their current X2 Hot Range. The new woods are fitted with Callaway's R.MOTO Technology. It's new and groundbreaking. It provides the structure to save weight and allow an ultra-thin face that maintains stability while elevating ball speed across the whole of the face, meaning off centre hits will go further than any other driver. Every driver should have this, but at the moment only Callaway does!
The clubs will be finished in Matte Black which helps prevent glare and looks great at address, in fact they are some of the best looking woods I've ever seen!
They will also be launching some irons to run alongside these woods, which will feature Callaway's patented Face Cup technology which makes the face more flexible than the face of previous Callaway irons, this produces higher ball speeds across the face, even on off-center hits.
This product is something we are very excited to start stocking. However what is maybe even more exciting is that for any members interested in being custom fit for these new clubs or any other Callaway Clubs, we can offer you a FREE Custom Fit at Callaway's National Fitting Centre, which is in Chessington just off junction 9 of the m25. Fittings take place indoors at their state-of-the-art Performance Centre that utilises Callaway's revolutionary OptiFit Technology, together with the Trackman Launch Monitor, which displays your launch conditions, ball speed, launch angle and spin rates.
For anyone interested in having a fitting or booking a fitting for the new products in February 2015, please contact either Michael or Steve on 01883 744848, or click here to get in touch.

Jordan Spieth wins as Tiger Woods finishes tied last
Hero World Challenge final leaderboard:
-26 J Spieth (US)
-16 H Stenson (Swe)
-15 P Reed (US), K Bradley (US),
-14 J Day (Aus)
Selected others:
-11 Justin Rose
-8 G McDowell (NI)
Level T Woods (US)
American Jordan Spieth won the Hero World Challenge by 10 shots as Tiger Woods finished in a tie for last place.
The 21-year-old led from round one and carded a final round seven-under-par 66 to finish 26-under on 262.
Speith, whose closest challenger in Florida was Sweden's Henrik Stenson, told Sky Sports: "It was the most fun I have ever had playing holes of golf."
Woods, making his return from a back injury, had a triple bogey on 13 and tied on level par with Hunter Mahan.
Tiger Woods missed the cut in his last competitive tournament - the US PGA Championship in August
Woods shot 72 while Mahan had two double bogeys in a round of 75.
However, the 14-time major winner said he was delighted to be back swinging powerfully and pain free after his four-month lay-off.
"It feels good to feel that rush again," the 38-year-old said.
"I didn't hit the ball as well as I would like. My short game was awful. But I was able to play for four days and hit the ball the way I wanted to and that's progress.
"It's so nice to hit drives that hard again, take bunkers out of play, cut corners. I hadn't felt healthy enough to do that in a very long time."
Woods went into the final day with the modest goal of escaping last place in the 18-man event but fluffed two more chips, bringing his total to eight for his week.
Spieth, who won the Australian Open by six shots last week, carded six birdies and an eagle in his final round to win his second title of the year.
He also shattered the tournament record of 22-under 266, set by Woods in 2007.
The Texan said: "People want to see somebody come up and do what Tiger did and change a generation of golf.
"But right now I look at what the number one in the world, Rory McIlroy, did this year and I'm trying to chase him more than I am anything else."
England's Justin Rose carded a one-under 71 to finish tied sixth with Rickie Fowler on 11 under.
And Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell also carded a 71 to tie with Bubba Watson in 11th on eight under.
