An introduction from our newly recruited Teaching Professional
I am pleased to announce that Ben Daniels will be joining us as a Teaching Professional from the 6th June. I am sure you will all welcome him to Bletchingley and written below is a short introduction from him to all our readers:
"Hello all!
I join Bletchingley excited at the prospect of passing on my passion and wealth of knowledge of the game. Having started golf at a young age, coming from a family of golf enthusiasts, I enjoyed much success as a junior and at club and county level. In 2006 I accepted a scholarship to play college golf in Texas. It was a valuable experience and gave me access to some of the best coaches in the world. It was here that I developed an insatiable appetite for golf, which led me to turn professional. Ever since, I've continued to examine the game in-depth with a particular interest in the science behind the golf swing.
I join you from Horton Park Golf School in Epsom, where I have coached happily for the past three years, from complete beginners all the way through to fellow professionals. All of whom brought colour, texture and life into my role as a coach. I am extremely proud of all those who I have taught, especially those who showed vast improvements in their game, along with the individuals who had never picked up a golf club that are now enjoying golf as part of their lifestyle.
In addition to my coaching success, I have also been a touring professional for over three years and have excelled on development tours, as well as the PGA south region. This year I qualified for the EuroPro Tour and am still very much committed to be a playing professional, so I endeavour to be present at tournaments. After all, we never stop learning and growing as players; I welcome each challenge that comes with round of golf, whether it be in a qualifying round or a pro-am.
I like to take a Holistic approach to coaching, drawing on all my experiences and all aspects of the game. I believe in simple methods with expert knowledge to back them up and take pride in my personable approach, which I have found to be the most effective form of coaching. I aim to deliver tailored coaching in relation to a player's goals and objectives. With all of this at the core of my lessons, I hope you'll see positives changes and a new found respect for your game.
For my welcome to the club, on Saturday, 6 and Sunday, 7 June I will be offering 30 minute taster sessions for anyone that is interested in improving and developing their game for the long-term. These lessons will be at a temporarily reduced rate of £10, which will include video analysis sent straight to your Inbox. So why not take advantage of this offer and see if you enjoy the professional side of golf?! Perhaps you've never thought about having a lesson or maybe your swing just needs a slight tweak. Either way garner some fresh eyes on your game and have some fun in the process.
Lessons can be booked in the professional shop or click here to get in touch. Get booking and I look forward to meeting you soon!
With Best Wishes,
Ben"
