Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to everyone for making me feel welcome this weekend and I felt the sessions were a huge success! It was great meeting so many of you, and I hope that those who experienced a taster session thought it was both valuable and fun! You now have some key skills to work on and hopefully you'll see some positive changes as a result, just in time for the summer!

For any members or friends of the club who were unable to visit this weekend, you've not been forgotten. The taster session will be extended for you, so please feel free to book in for a 30 minute lesson from the following dates: 

Thursday, 11 June: 12.00pm - 6.00pm 
Friday, 12 June: 9.00am - 6.00pm 
Sunday, 14 June: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Attention Ladies... 

I'm excited to announce that I will also be running a Putting clinic for the Ladies on Monday, 15 June! 

We'll assess your putting style, speed control with putting drills and focus on shaving strokes off of your round. Groups will be a maximum of 8 and will cost £7.50 per person, for one hour. 

What are you waiting for, get booking in at the Pro shop and I look forward to seeing you!



Captain's Charity Day - Saturday, 27 June 

With just under three weeks away, we thought we should remind all members of this event and ask those who do intend to enter to sign up on the sheet at the Club and, of course, complete an entry form and pay the entry fee. 

We have had a fantastic support from the Charity and other donors and pledges include: 

- Tickets to the opening Day at the Ashes Test Match at Lords. 

- A week in a house in Provence. 

- An invitation to go to Elstree Studios for filming of an episode of a "League of their Own" and meet Jack Whitehall. 

- FA tickets to a match at Wembley 

And golfing 4 ball vouchers including:
- The Berkshire 
- Tandridge GC 
- Effingham GC 
- West Byfleet GC 

Plus many other items to auction and for the raffle.

Congratulations to Alex Smith on winning the nett trophy in the Bletchingley Men's Open. Alex shot a net 76 in the morning but came back strong in the afternoon with a fantastic 68

Ladies Results Update 

Pauline Bourne won the divison 1 ladies stableford last Thursday with a very impressive 40 points. 

Division 2 was won by Sarah Hussey with 39 with Ros Tunbridge coming second with 37. Pauline, Sarah and Ros all had their handicaps reduced. 

Division 3 was won by Linda Henari with 30 points. 

June Medal Competition Update 

Congratulations to Andy Hemmett on winning the division 1 medal with a nett 71. Tim Burke was his closest rival on nett 75 followed by Kenny Hester on 76. Dennis Greenaway was by far the best score of the day with a superb nett 67 to win by 4 shots from Richard Hawkins. 

Can I please remind any 7 day members who wish to play in the Jubilee Pairs on Saturday, 20 June would they please sign up on the main noticeboard before the end of the weekend as the draw will be made Sunday night and posted on the tee booking system first thing Monday.
