Granville Wise Cup Evening Function - Friday, 14 August 

A traditional welsh evening hosted by Granville Wise. It will include a three course meal with coffee and mints, and dancing to our resident DJ will run on into the night. 

Menu 
Chilli and lime marinated king prawns on a bed of mixed leaf with rustic breads 

Slow braised lamb shoulder on a bed of creamy leek mash 

Homemade chocolate tart with raspberry coulli and vanilla ice cream 

Coffee and mints

Pro Am Friday -  Friday, 28 August 

The entry list for the Pro Am is now on the main noticeboard. The format for the day is coffee and bacon rolls on arrival followed by 18 holes with a leading PGA Professional in the South Region. There will also be a two course buffet and prize giving at the end. The cost for members will be £50 per head and members guests will be £65. Member notifications through Club V1 

Since we have moved over to the new Club V1 system we have been sending out a number of newsletters for various reasons and we have noticed that a number of members have not opened these emails. If you don't think you have seen them would you please check your spam folder. 

Ladies Surrey knockout 

Debbie Rose and Geraldine Edwards played their quarter final match in the Surrey Centenary Foursomes match last week against Wimbledon Park at home. They managed to win on the 20th hole! It was very close all the way round, with some tense putting at the end. They are now in the semi-finals and are waiting to see who they will be playing in the semi-final. Not a bad defence of the title so far! I will keep you all posted on their progress. 

August Medal 

Congratulations to Will Blake on winning the division two August Medal with a fine nett 66, he blew the fellow division competitors out of the water by winning by an incredible eight shots. Kevin Lucas also played well in division one with a nett 68, finishing ahead of Myles Carroll with a 71.
