Congratulations to Ben Daniels on finishing 2nd in the Surrey PGA Championship. Ben lead for most of the day until Chris Gane, who in recent times has held a tour card, pipped him over the winning line with a very impressive 69.
Unfortunately the tournament was reduced from 36 holes to 18 due to the inclement weather.
If you would like Ben to help you with your game please contact the Pro shop for more details.
The weather was far better 2 days later for the annual club Pro Am. Our Men's Captain and his fellow team members Andy Hemmett, Kevin Lucas and Professional Michael Day posted an 11 under score to win by 2 shots. Chris Croucher won the Professional prize with a three under 69.
Following the success of the Pro Am, Andy Hemmett carried on his winning ways by winning the Jackson Rosebowl last Saturday with a nett 72. Mike Blacker came second on countback from Judith Ross and Marilyn Luson.
There was a 5-way tie for first place in the Daily Mail Foursomes played by the Ladies Section last Thursday.
Ros Shepherd & Sue Munday, El Rhodes & Sue Rumble, Gerri Schofield & Mary Watford and Veronica Borer & Evelyn Brodie all posted the same winning score as Mavis Haeger and Puni Amin who won with the best back 9!
Congratulations to Mavis and Puni who are now able to go forward to the next round.

New Coffee Machine Installation
A new coffee machine has been installed in the bar and we do ask the members this is for use when the kitchen is closed or you require a takeaway coffee to take when playing golf.
We do not feel it is appropriate for any members or visitors to sit in the bar with takeaway cups during normal service.
We would appreciate you full cooperation in this matter
Many thanks.
